Eduardo Jose Torres Romero
Eduardo has been a part of La Semilla since May 2019. He has studied agriculture and in 2018 achieved his title as an agronomist at the university UPONIC in the nearby city of San Marcos. His responsibilities are to train and advise the group of farmers in the SW zone of Carazo in their crop production methods. As with each of our agronomists, his duties also include getting to know each of his farmers personally so that he can also be an influence in their personal and spiritual lives.
Eduardo’s particular area of interest is in spiritual formation. He has studied 3 years of theology as well and puts that knowledge to use working alongside Pastor Nicolas Sequiera. Eduardo is in charge of coordinating outreach events and Bible studies throughout the areas where we work. He teaches alongside Nicolas and Lilliam so that we can share the joy of the Lord in as many communities as possible!
In December 2019 we had the privilege of attending Eduardo’s marriage to Jennsy Cano. We pray God’s blessing over their marriage, their home, and their plans for the future. What plans for the future? Well, Eduardo has really matured, gained confidence and grown into a stronger man of God in his time here at La Semilla. He’d like to continue his studies to achieve a degree in veterinary science and possibly have his own small herd of cattle some day.
Pray that he will continue to develop here at La Semilla Ministries, learning more each day to see the work he does not just as a job, but rather as
work that serves God’s Kingdom by empowering “the least of these”.
We thank God for bringing Eduardo to work with us. We pray that his strong faith and good work ethic will continue to inspire the rest of us to live with God’s joy in our hearts and to work as though the Kingdom depended on it!
